// ABOUT

Folders, explained.

A CNC Folder bends sheet metal by clamping the workpiece while a folding beam rotates the flange to the programmed angle. Unlike traditional press brakes, folders support the entire sheet during bending, making them particularly effective for large panels, architectural products, and thin-gauge materials.

Folders reduce handling, improve consistency, and minimize marking on finished surfaces. Buyers should evaluate maximum folding length, material thickness, automatic tool changing, backgauge design, and CNC programming capabilities. They are especially valuable for HVAC, enclosure, roofing, and architectural fabrication.
