Stop 1 — Precision contract job shop
Our first visit was a 22,000 sq ft contract shop running a mix of late-model HAAS verticals and a pair of Mazak QT lathes. The owner was downsizing one cell after a long-running aerospace program ended. We documented two VF-2SS mills and a QT-250 — clean spindles, full tooling packages, original manuals on the shelf. Listings going live within the week.

Stop 2 — Tier-2 automotive supplier
Day two took us to a tier-2 automotive supplier consolidating two buildings into one. They had a Mitsubishi wire EDM and a Makino a51nx horizontal coming off the floor. Both machines were under power so we ran tested cycles, captured control screen footage, and pulled a complete service history binder going back to install. The kind of paperwork buyers love to see.

Stop 3 — Family-owned production shop
Stop three was a third-generation family shop pivoting to lights-out production. They were retiring an older Bridgeport and a manual lathe, plus a 2014 Doosan Puma that simply wasn’t fitting the new cell layout. Quick visit — about an hour total — and we walked away with photos, video, hour meters, and a fixture list ready to package.

Stop 4 — Fab shop selling a laser
We closed the trip at a sheet metal fab shop selling a Trumpf TruLaser 3030 ahead of a fiber upgrade. Big machine, clean cut samples, full chiller and exhaust still in place. We coordinated with their rigger on-site to confirm access and lift points so the buyer’s logistics quote will be accurate down to the dollar. A strong listing to round out the week.
